Linda Dangerfield is the Director of the Office of Procurement and Materials Management and the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) for the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Aviation Administration (MDOT MAA). MDOT MAA owns and operates BWI Thurgood Marshall (BWI Thurgood) and Martin State (MTN) Airports. As CPO, Ms. Dangerfield represents MDOT MAA at the Board of Public Works.

Mrs. Dangerfield has successfully directed complex and multi-year contracts for capital construction, architectural/engineering, maintenance, information technology, and all types of services necessary to support, the day-to-day operations of BWI Thurgood and MTN Airports. With over 27 years of public sector experience, Mrs. Dangerfield is one of the State’s senior procurement officials.

As the Director and CPO, Mrs. Dangerfield continues to lead the way in ensuring confidence and integrity in MDOT MAA’s procurement practices. Her approach to ensuring that high technical standards are met by her staff and others within the administration, while introducing innovative approaches to meeting growing demands, makes her an exceptional professional and Director.

Mrs. Dangerfield is an active member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing’s (NIGP) and its local chapter, Maryland Public Purchasing Association (MPPA). Mrs. Dangerfield served as the 2016 President and 2014-2015Vice President. Additionally, Mrs. Dangerfield served on the Board of Directors from 2008-2010 and 2019 to current.

Mrs. Dangerfield also served on a committee that developed the State of Maryland Procurement Manual.

Mrs. Dangerfield as the 2016 President for MPPA co-hosted the 2016 NIGP National Forum; served as the 2011 Co-Chairperson for the NIGP National Forum; and is a certified instructor for the NIGP. Mrs. Dangerfield obtained her Certified Professional Public Buyer certification (CPPB) in 2006 and her NIGP Certified Procurement Professional (NIGP-CPP) in 2020.
