Derek Brown

Derek Brown is a Vice President with Turner Construction Company, the largest general contractors in the United States. With experience in complex building and infrastructure projects, Derek focuses on delivering high-quality construction solutions through strong collaboration, disciplined project management, and a commitment to safety and innovation.  Throughout his career, Derek has worked closely with owners, designers, trade partners, and project stakeholders to successfully plan and execute projects from early concept through completion. His expertise includes project planning, cost control, procurement, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to meet demanding schedules and budgets.  Derek is particularly focused on helping clients navigate the evolving construction landscape by identifying smarter, more efficient ways to deliver projects while managing risk and uncertainty. He is passionate about advancing safety performance, improving construction productivity, and supporting opportunities for small and diverse businesses within the industry.  Currently Derek is completing the Dulles Tier 2 East Concourse which is a new 14 gate concourse that ties into the existing automated people mover system underground and starting work on the Dulles Tier 2 Center Project, a new 22 gate concourse with attached federal inspection station.
